The German Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art organized a festive lunch at the restaurant of the Martin Gropius Museum in Berlin, to coincide with the opening of the Dani Karavan retrospective from the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The event featured a tour of the exhibition conducted by Prof. Mordechai Omer, in the presence of Dani Karavan. Over 50 guests attended this event, among them the Director of the Martin Gropius-Bau Museum, Dr. Geron Sievernich, the former Mayor of Berlin and German Ambassador in Israel, Klaus Schütz as well as the artist, Dani Karavan.
