This year the London gala dinner and art auction of the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) was held at Philips de Pury & Company with nearly 350 guests, including the Israeli Ambassador to the UK, Ron Prosor. It was a source of special pride for the Meyerhoff Education Center of the Museum that a work of art by a student from the Center, Dana Zemel, was sold at auction at the London event. Proceeds from the sale provided an art stipend to the student and also helped fund the Museum's ‘Youth Gifted in the Arts’ program. The London gala was preceded by a party sponsored by the Young BFAMI group with some of the artists who donated works for the BFAMI auction.
