UTOPIAS ON PAPER I
German Expressionism: Prints and Drawings
from the Museum Collect ion
This two-part exhibition presents a selection of
works on paper by German Expressionists. The
first part juxtaposes nature and the natural with
the big city, icon of modern existence; the second
will focus on Expressionism's built-in ambivalent
approach to the concept of culture in the polarity
between the high-brow and the popular and the
tension between the authentic and the "cultural."
