CABINET SECRETS: PRINTS FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF PRINTS AND DRAWINGS
EREZ ISRAELI : PRINTS
Alongside videos, installations and sculptures,
Erez Israeli's (1974, Beer Sheva) work includes
prints in various techniques, dealing with personal,
national and sexual identity. The display includes
prints of self-portraits and poppy fields that refer to
Israeli's work Asleep in the Meadow, 2008, and to
Arthur Rimbaud's (1854–1891) poem Le Dormeur du
Val, expressing the pain, chaos and futility of war.
