ANGELICA SCHATZ: ABANDONED DAUGHTER, LOST DAUGHTER
ANGELICA SCHATZ
ABANDONED DAUGHTER, LOST DAUGHTER
Angelica (1897, Sofia, Bulgaria – 1975, Tel Aviv)
was the "lost daughter" of Boris Schatz, founder of
Bezalel. The exhibition unfolds her tragic character,
her oeuvre and her fascinating correspondence
with her father, from whom she was separated at an
early age. Most of the paintings from her recently
discovered estate were restored at the Museum's
restoration laboratories.
